Boston-based Parker Torres Design led the refresh of the resort’s 1,366 rooms and 55 suites, bringing a nautical sensibility theme. Guest rooms unfold in soft blues and sun-washed woods, while tower corridors carry the motif forward with carpets inspired by rolling waves and pale shorelines underfoot.
Guests can arrive by boat, sailing into the 446-slip marina located by the Seaport Village and the city’s cruise port. The hotel’s Marina Office acts as the front desk, making a seamless entry to the hotel’s many services.
Consider an upgrade to access the M Club, newly added to this resort hotel on the ground level, with hues inspired by coastal sunsets. Designed for co-working, breakfast meetings or lounging, the M Club is open 24/7 and is stocked with a continental breakfast and daily light snacks.
Choose your adventure
When the agenda happily changes from work to play, Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina offers a lengthy list of nearby distractions. With two outdoor swimming pools, there’s plenty of space to frolic. Be sure to reserve a poolside cabana or premium lounge chair for a dose of sun. The fitness center was renovated this year and features Peloton bikes, and state-of-the-art equipment, while small groups can benefit from the SYNRGY360 for group training.
